Very long heat-up time: - Too low energy input = Set heating source to maximum
The red safety valve does not rise during cooking, no steam escaping from the valve: - This is normal during the first minutes (pressure buildup). - Otherwise please check whether: - the heating source is strong enough, if not, increase - the amount of liquid in the pot is sufficient - the pressure control valve is not in pos. '0' - the pot is properly closed - the seal ring or the pot rim are damaged.
The red safety valve has risen but no steam is escaping from the pressure control valve during the cooking process: - For steaming off, hold the pressure cooker under cold water - open the pot - clean the pressure control - and the safety valve acc. to the instructions
Steam is escaping around the lid: Check to see whether: - the lid is closed - the seal ring has been correctly inserted - the condition of the seal ring is OK (replace if necessary) - the lid, the safety valve, and the pressure control valve are clean - the pot is in proper condition
The lid cannot be opened: - Check to see whether the safety valve is completely down, if not: steam off. - cool the pot under cold water if necessary
The cooked food is not cooked or burnt. Check: - the cooking time (too short or too long) - the power of the heating source - the proper setting of the pressure control valve - the amount of liquid
When the cooked food has burnt in the pot: - let the pot soak some time before rinsing it. - do not use any caustic solutions or chlorine-containing detergents.
When the safety system triggers: - Switch off the heating source! - Let the pressure cooker cool - open it - check and clean the pressure control valve, the safety valve, and the seal ring.
If there are loose screws: - retighten the screws using a screwdriver.
If the cap of the pressure control valve is loose: - check to see whether there are any locating grooves inside the cap.
If not, contact the after-sales service, please.
